Eleven Pune Government-School Students Selected to Represent India at Robotex International 2025
The selection reflects sustained investments opening robotics training to first-generation learners in Pune’s government schools.

- The Pune Zilla Parishad announced that 11 students from ZP and municipal schools will compete at Robotex International in Tallinn, Estonia on December 5–6.
- The contingent was chosen after strong showings at the Robotex India National Championship at MIT ADT University, which drew about 5,000 competitors with over 1,000 from government schools, marking a fourth straight year of ZP success.
- The selected students come from ZP Prathamik Shala Hinjewadi, ZP Prathamik Shala Lonikand, BT Shahani Navi Hind High School (Bhavani Peth), Rajaram Bhiku Pathare School (Kharadi), Dr Cyrus S Poonawalla English Medium High School, and Gurunanak School.
- The named participants are Uday Gawai, Swara Bathewara, Arohi Ramchandra Ujgare, Sourabh Sharad Padadune, Devesh Nitesh Kadam, Sakshi Jamuna Sonar, Shahid Mohammad Ismail Khan, Aarti Chavan, Sharanama Hosakrub, Anushka Waghmare, and Rudra Garase.
- Projects showcased include firefighter and girls’ firefighting robots, assistive devices for people with disabilities, battery health monitoring, a recycling assistant, and a suicide alert system, backed by labs, digital classrooms, mentoring and CSR-supported guidance.
