Electric Double-Decker Bus Catches Fire in London Rush Hour

No injuries reported as Transport for London announces investigation into the incident

An electric double-decker bus caught fire in southwest London during rush hour on Thursday morning, causing significant disruptions and road closures.
No injuries have been reported despite the severity of the fire, and the bus was quickly evacuated.
The bus, which operates route 200 from Mitcham to Raynes Park, is part of Go Ahead London’s fully electric bus routes introduced in 2021.
Emergency services, including three fire engines and approximately 15 firefighters, swiftly attended the scene of the incident.
Transport for London (TFL) has announced that they will investigate the cause of the fire.
