Overview

  • A new standard operating procedure launched on June 25 cuts voter ID card delivery to 15 days after any electoral roll update, down from the previous 30–45 day manual process.
  • A dedicated IT module on the ECINet platform is now integrated with the Department of Posts to streamline EPIC generation and dispatch workflows.
  • Applicants receive SMS notifications at every stage, from EPIC creation by the Electoral Registration Officer to handover for postal delivery.
  • Real-time tracking through the National Voters’ Services Portal allows users to monitor each phase of card printing and postal transit.
  • First-time registrants can apply online by completing Form 6 on the NVSP website using their mobile number and email ID.
