Overview

• Anganwadi workers will be posted at every polling booth in Bihar to assist in verifying women who wear burqas or purdah.
• Identification will be carried out by lady polling officers or attendants with measures to ensure privacy, following EC protocols.
• The commission said up to 90,712 Anganwadi sevikas will be on poll duty across the state.
• Voters who do not present an EPIC can use 12 approved photo IDs, such as Aadhaar, passport or driving licence.
• Bihar votes on November 6 and 11 for 243 assembly seats, with counting on November 14.
