Elecom Unveils World's First USB4 2.0 Cables with 80 Gbps Speeds

These groundbreaking cables promise enhanced data transfer and power delivery, set to launch in Japan this December.

Elecom has become the first company to certify USB4 2.0 cables, offering up to 80 Gbps transfer speeds.
Two cable variants will be available: one with 60W power delivery and another with 240W, suitable for high-powered devices.
The cables will support DisplayPort passthrough for up to 8K resolution at 60Hz.
Initially, these cables will be limited to the Japanese market, with potential expansion unclear at this time.
Adoption of USB4 2.0 technology may take time as major hardware manufacturers have yet to integrate native support.
