Elderly Woman Killed in South Carolina Alligator Attack While Walking Dog

A 69-year-old woman was attacked and killed by an alligator in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina while walking her dog near a lagoon.
The woman's body was found being guarded by the alligator, delaying rescue efforts.
The 10-foot alligator was safely captured and removed from the area.
This was the second fatal alligator attack in the county within the past year.
The woman's dog was found unharmed after the attack.
