Overview
- An unidentified man in his 80s died Wednesday from injuries suffered in an Oct. 4 crash around 12:18 p.m. in the 3400 block of Foothill Expressway.
- Investigators say he was riding south in the bike lane when he entered southbound traffic and was struck by a 2022 Mercedes-Benz sedan.
- The cyclist was thrown from his bike, sustained a major head injury despite wearing a helmet, and was transported to a hospital.
- The driver, described as being in their 90s, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, and police report no apparent involvement of drugs or alcohol.
