Overview
- President Dallin H. Oaks and other senior leaders called and ordained Caussé on Nov. 6 after he was set apart to lifetime apostolic service.
- The appointment fills a recent vacancy in the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
- Caussé, 62, is a native of Bordeaux, France, and most recently served as Presiding Bishop overseeing humanitarian aid, welfare operations, financial affairs, facilities and membership records.
- The call came outside the Church’s April and October general conferences, following Patrick Kearon’s December 2023 out-of-conference appointment, a sequence last seen in 1919 and 1921.
- His addition extends the Quorum’s international makeup, which includes members from Germany, England and Brazil.
