Overview
- Bandai Namco confirmed a staggered rollout, with consoles unlocking at local midnight on Dec. 4 and PC going live Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET (11 p.m. GMT), varying by region.
- The $15 expansion is included with the Deluxe Edition and can otherwise be purchased separately.
- To use Scholar and Undertaker, players must defeat Tricephalos (Gladius, Beast of Night) and then follow the Roundtable Hold prompt; the Balancers expedition requires Tricephalos plus at least one other Nightlord and both new Nightfarers unlocked.
- The update adds two playable Nightfarers, the Shifting Earth event The Great Hollows, new forges that let players reroll Weapon Arts, and fresh POIs including a poison swamp, alongside new and returning bosses.
- A new trailer spotlights the Undertaker’s aerial charge that can stun bosses, and director Junya Ishizaki says the DLC is a little harder than the base game while aiming to keep the challenge fair.
