Elaine Thompson-Herah Appoints New Coach Ahead of Paris 2024

Jamaican sprinter splits from former coach due to compensation dispute, teams up with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce's coach Reynaldo Walcott.

Five-time Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah has appointed Reynaldo Walcott as her new coach.
The move comes after Thompson-Herah's split from her former coach Shanikie Osbourne earlier this month.
Walcott has also been coaching Thompson-Herah's compatriot and fellow sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce since 2020.
The split from Osbourne was due to a 'breakdown in negotiations on a compensation package'.
Thompson-Herah and Walcott begin their collaboration less than a year before she defends her 100 meters and 200 meters titles at the Paris Games.
