'El Hilo de Oro' Brings Liliana Bodoc’s Writing Classes to Print at the Mendoza Book Fair

Published as the first title in UNCuyo’s EdiFyL Transmisiones series, the posthumous volume distills transcribed recordings, notes plus exercises from workshops held between 2003 and 2017.

Overview

  • UNCuyo’s Faculty of Philosophy and Letters will present the book on Tuesday, September 30 at 19:00 in the Julio Le Parc venue of the Mendoza Book Fair with dean Gustavo Zonana, vicedecan Viviana Ceverino, editor Mariana Guzzante and Bodoc’s children in attendance.
  • Edited by Ana Federica Distefano, the volume features a prologue by Claudia Piñeiro and includes a contribution by Romina Bodoc titled “La escuela invisible.”
  • The compilation recovers materials from Bodoc’s workshops in Mendoza, Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata, gathered by attendees and later collected, transcribed and edited to preserve classroom exchanges and images.
  • Beyond classes and notes, the book offers creative exercises and guidance on narrator choice, time, character-building, constraint-based practice and a ‘cinematic’ approach to prose, and it includes her speech “La palabra y la honra.”
  • The release anchors the relaunch of EdiFyL and the activation of the Espacio Cultural Liliana Bodoc at the fair, positioning the title for both academic use and broad public circulation.
