El Al Launches 50-Passenger Rescue Flights From Israel

Government directives impose a 50-passenger cap with departures barred from returning for 21 days

Overview

  • Since registrations opened on Saturday night, El Al has received 25,000 request forms and began rescue operations on June 23
  • Flights to London, Paris, Athens, Rome, Larnaca, New York, Los Angeles and Bangkok are operating under strict security guidance
  • Travelers on these rescue flights are prohibited from re-entering Israel for at least three weeks
  • Regular El Al services remain suspended until June 27 with new bookings available from July 15
  • El Al is also running repatriation flights for Israeli citizens abroad and offering cruises to Cyprus in partnership with Mano Maritime
