Ekta Kapoor and Mother Face POCSO Charges Over 'Gandi Baat' Series

Mumbai Police have questioned Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, regarding allegations of inappropriate scenes involving minors in the ALT Balaji web series.

The case centers on season 6 of 'Gandi Baat', which aired between February and April 2021, and allegedly includes obscene scenes of minor girls.
Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor have been booked under the POCSO Act and the Information Technology Act.
ALT Balaji has issued a statement clarifying that the Kapoors are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.
The controversial episode is no longer available on the ALT Balaji platform.
Both Ekta and Shobha Kapoor have been asked to appear for further questioning on October 24, as the investigation continues.
