• San Jose police identified 19-year-old Julian Gacutan of South San Francisco and arrested him in Oakland on Oct. 3 with assistance from San Ramon police.
• Gacutan and the seven previously arrested suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on robbery allegations.

• The 88-year-old store owner was assaulted, suffered a stroke, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and has since been released, as officials publicly condemned the attack.
