Overview
- The eighth edition of MONA opened today on Planta 0 of Gran Vía shopping center and will remain open continuously from 11:30 to 21:00 through August 9.
- More than 30 creators from around the world are presenting a diverse range of works, from drawings and recycled clothing to handmade jewelry and 3D prints.
- Organizer Larissa Lyra said she designed MONA to bypass traditional galleries and create an accessible, dynamic environment for artists to engage directly with the public.
- Featured participants include Daniel García’s Addicap3D project, TZ Studio’s upcycled garments, Julebv’s watercolor pieces and Sapos e Culebras’s polymer clay jewelry inspired by Galician fauna.
- By integrating emerging and established talents, MONA aims to strengthen the regional cultural economy and demonstrate that art is an inclusive experience for all.
