Overview

  • On June 25 in Douglas, a male occupant of a white SUV opened fire during an argument on the 3000 block of South State Street, striking an 8-year-old girl in the leg.
  • She was hospitalized in fair condition after receiving on-scene treatment from first responders.
  • Around 6:50 p.m. on June 26 in Englewood’s Ogden Park, a gunman fired at three men aged 25, 32 and 37 who were standing in the park.
  • Two victims are listed in critical condition with abdominal, buttock and multiple gunshot wounds while the third is in good condition.
  • No arrests have been made in either incident and Chicago police are urging witnesses to come forward as investigations continue.
