Eight-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Shot at Cumbria Farm

A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter following the tragic incident.

Emergency services were called to the farm in Warcop, Cumbria, around 2:50 PM on Saturday.
The boy was flown to the hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries to his head and face.
Despite medical efforts, the child died overnight from his injuries.
A firearm was secured at the scene by police, who have launched an investigation.
The man arrested at the scene initially on suspicion of assault is now under arrest for gross negligence manslaughter.
