Eight Teens Arrested in Connection with Fatal Beating of Las Vegas High School Student

Jonathan Lewis Jr., a 17-year-old student from Rancho High School in Las Vegas, was beaten to death by a group of 10 classmates over a pair of stolen headphones and a vape pen.
The fatal brawl, which was captured on video and shared on social media, took place in an alleyway near the school after classes on November 1, 2023.
Eight of the students involved in the assault were arrested on suspicion of murder on November 14, 2023. Authorities are still trying to identify the remaining two students.
Four of the students who are 16 or older have been ordered to be transferred to the adult court system.
The victim's father, Jonathan Lewis Sr., has created a fundraising page to help with funeral and medical expenses.
