Overview
- Eight fires erupted in Essen’s Bochold district between June 6 and June 10, targeting an empty building, multiple vehicles, a residential trailer and waste containers.
- The first blaze on June 6 consumed debris in a vacant structure on Flözstraße and later engulfed an Isuzu D-Max pickup that evening.
- On June 7, arsonists set fire to a mobile home and a Peugeot Boxer van near a garage yard on Germaniastraße, also damaging the adjacent building.
- In the early hours of June 10, a Ford Mondeo parked on Carolus-Magnus-Straße was torched, and later that night two paper recycling containers in Altendorf and an e-scooter on Flanderstraße were set ablaze.
- Police are conducting a detailed arson probe and have urged witnesses to contact them at 0201/829-0 or via [email protected] with any relevant information.
