Eight of India’s Top 10 Most Valuable Firms Add Rs 1.72 Lakh Crore as Reliance Leads

Reliance Industries was the biggest weekly gainer, adding Rs 48,107.94 crore to a market value of Rs 19,07,131.37 crore.
HDFC Bank and State Bank of India bucked the trend, eroding Rs 20,040.7 crore and Rs 9,784.46 crore in value respectively.
The week’s other gainers were TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, LIC and Bajaj Finance.
The BSE Sensex rose 709.19 points for the week, while a broad sell-off on Friday snapped a six-day advance and pushed Nifty 50 below 24,900.
The top-10 ranking was unchanged, led by Reliance, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, LIC and Bajaj Finance.
