Eight Injured in Balcony Collapse at Anglesea Home

A group dining on a second-story balcony fell 2.5 meters when the structure gave way, with all sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon in Anglesea, a coastal town southwest of Melbourne, near Point Roadknight Beach.
Three men, three women, and two teenage girls were injured, along with a dog, when the balcony collapsed during lunch.
Emergency crews, including CFA, FRV, and SES, responded to the scene, where three individuals were briefly trapped under timber debris.
Seven of the injured were transported to Geelong University Hospital, while all injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
The area has been secured, and a building surveyor will assess the structural integrity of the property.
