Eight Gang Suspects Arraigned in California, Face Life Sentences as Extradition Looms

The arraignments conclude a multiagency probe that netted a significant weapons cache along with over $15,000 in cash across Manteca, Stockton and Stanislaus County.

  • Officers recovered five handguns, an assault rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, multiple high-capacity magazines and more than $15,000 in cash during simultaneous searches.
  • The July 11 raids were carried out under the FBI’s Summer Heat initiative with local SWAT teams from Stockton, Manteca and Stanislaus County joining federal agents.
  • Pavittar Preet Singh, identified as the gang leader, is wanted in India for firearms violations, assault and multiple murders and may face extradition after serving any U.S. sentence.
  • A further hearing is scheduled for July 24 and authorities have opened a hotline for anonymous tips on additional gang associates.
