• Land surveyor Ganta Tejeswar went missing on June 17 and his body was recovered four days later in a canal near Kurnool after he was lured under the guise of a field survey.
• Police allege Tejeswar’s wife Aishwarya conspired with her bank-manager lover Tirumala Rao to eliminate him and continue their illicit relationship.
• Tirumala Rao is accused of paying Rs 3 lakh in advance to a contract-killing gang that tracked Tejeswar’s movements and ambushed him inside a car.
• Investigators say Aishwarya’s mother Sujatha and Rao’s father were arrested for knowing about the plot and sheltering the accused.
• All eight suspects were arrested on June 26 and have been remanded to judicial custody as authorities examine call logs, CCTV footage and digital evidence.
