Overview
- Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov showed mockups for the new unified textbooks for grades 10 and 11 during a Federation Council session.
- All schools are slated to adopt unified civics textbooks for grades 9–10 in the 2026/2027 academic year.
- Civics remains in grades 8–11 from September 1, 2025, then will be taught in grades 9–11 from September 1, 2026.
- The transition to the new programs will proceed gradually over two years.
- Cover designs depict the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman statue for grade 10 and the VDNKh Friendship of Peoples fountain with landmarks from Vladivostok, Kazan, and Kaliningrad for grade 11.
