Overview

  • The Ministry introduced the TARA portal for multilingual oral reading fluency assessment, an Encyclopaedic Sanskrit Dictionary, the My Career Advisor app, and the ViBe AI learning platform to support data-driven and personalised learning.
  • Four foreign universities—the University of Bristol, Western Sydney University, Victoria University and La Trobe University—received Letters of Intent to establish campuses in Mumbai, Greater Noida, Noida and Bengaluru.
  • The Setubandha Vidwan Yojana was launched to integrate traditional gurukul scholars into IIT research programmes with monthly fellowships of up to ₹65,000 based on demonstrable expertise in classical studies.
  • Ten PM SHRI model schools were selected in Nagaland and foundation stones were laid for 23 new tribal hostels under the DAJGUA scheme to enhance residential facilities for underrepresented students.
  • Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid foundations for over ₹200 crore in infrastructure at the Central University of Punjab, and officials reported that NEP initiatives have reached more than 4.2 crore Grade I students across 8.9 lakh schools.
