Edmunds' experts have recommended five all-wheel-drive alternatives to SUVs, considering factors such as storage space, fuel efficiency, and cost.
The 2024 Subaru Impreza, a hatchback with 56 cubic feet of storage space and a more powerful engine in the RS trim, is one of the recommended alternatives.
The 2024 Toyota Sienna, a minivan with a seating capacity of eight and 75.2 cubic feet of cargo space, is also recommended. It is a hybrid vehicle with an EPA-estimated 35 mpg in combined city/highway driving.
