Edmonton Oilers and Assistant GM Brad Holland Part Ways

Brad Holland, son of former GM Ken Holland, leaves Oilers to explore new opportunities.

Brad Holland joined the Edmonton Oilers as a scout in 2019 and was promoted to assistant GM in July 2022.
His departure comes three months after the team did not extend the contract of his father, Ken Holland, who served as the Oilers' GM.
Stan Bowman, former GM of the Chicago Blackhawks, was hired as the new GM of the Oilers in July 2024.
Brad Holland is known for his analytical approach to scouting and team-building, which contributed to the Oilers' success in reaching the 2023-24 Stanley Cup final.
He is now exploring other opportunities and could potentially join another NHL team, with speculation around the Dallas Stars where his uncle works as an amateur scout.
