Overview

  • The festival sold 138,500 tickets, breaking its 2019 benchmark and yielding about $1.48 million for 1,600 artists.
  • Some shows are being extended into next week, with a Holdover Series scheduled for Aug. 27–30 at the ATB Westbury Theatre and select BYOV encores.
  • More than 490 performances sold out during the festival, including 14 productions that fully sold out their runs.
  • This year’s program featured 221 productions across roughly 40 venues, with leaders crediting targeted outreach to broaden attendance.
  • Fringe Theatre reports admissions alone are insufficient for sustainability and is growing its monthly donor base, rising from 540 to 692 toward a goal of 1,000.
