EDF Energy to Offer Up to 80 Hours of Free Electricity on Five Summer Sundays

Eligible households with smart meters can register by June 1 to shift consumption away from 4pm–7pm weekday peaks to earn energy credits through EDF’s Energy Hub.

Overview

  • The Sunday Saver challenge runs from June 2 through mid-July, granting free electricity on five Sundays: June 15, 22 and 29, plus July 6 and 13.
  • Participants can earn between four and 16 free hours each week by cutting electricity use during weekday peak hours (4pm–7pm), up to a maximum of 80 hours.
  • EDF is the only UK provider offering five Sundays of complimentary power this summer, with over £2 million already credited to customer accounts.
  • More than 154,000 customers have taken part since last year’s launch, accumulating over eight million free hours of electricity.
  • Customers need a functioning smart meter to join, with sign-up open via MyAccount on EDF’s Energy Hub until June 1.
