Eden Rock Media Founder Thomas Augsberger Dies at 60

Augsberger, a key figure in the independent film scene, secured pre-buys of major franchises and served as a longtime consultant for TMG.

Thomas Augsberger, founder of Eden Rock Media and former Lionsgate board member, has died suddenly at the age of 60.
Augsberger was a key figure in the independent film scene, securing pre-buys of major franchises such as Marvel's Iron Man, Summit Entertainment's Twilight, and Lionsgate's John Wick and Hunger Games.
He also served as a longtime consultant and North American representative for the German mini-major Tele Muenchen Group (TMG), and continued to advise the company after its acquisition by Leonine in 2019.
In addition to Eden Rock, Augsberger was a founding partner of Filmaka, BestEverChannels, and Liquid Light, and served on the boards of these companies.
He is survived by his wife, Jana, and their three children.
