Eddie Rosenblatt, Pioneering Geffen Records President, Dies at 89

Rosenblatt's leadership shaped the careers of iconic artists and transformed Geffen Records into a music industry powerhouse.

Rosenblatt died of pneumonia at a Santa Barbara hospital, surrounded by family.
He partnered with David Geffen to launch Geffen Records in 1980 and later became its chairman.
Under his leadership, Geffen Records signed major acts like John Lennon, Guns N' Roses, and Nirvana.
Rosenblatt mentored numerous future industry leaders during his four-decade career.
He is survived by his four children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
