Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross Star in New Prime Video Holiday Comedy 'Candy Cane Lane' Premiering Dec. 1

In his first holiday film, Murphy plays Chris Carver on a mission to win a home decoration contest in 'Candy Cane Lane,' but unexpectedly brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life and endangers himself and the town after making a deal with a mischievous elf, played by Jillian Bell.

He plays Chris Carver, who is on a mission to win his neighborhood's annual Christmas home decoration contest, but in his attempt, accidentally brings to life the 12 Days of Christmas with unintended chaos.
  • Jillian Bell stars as a mischievous elf named Pepper who casts a spell that wreaks havoc on the whole town. Chris Carver's wife, Carol, played by Tracee Ellis Ross, and their children join him in an attempt to break Pepper's spell and save Christmas for everyone.
  • 'Candy Cane Lane' marks a reunion for Murphy with director Reginald Hudlin and producer Brian Grazer, with whom Murphy previously worked on the 1992 movie 'Boomerang.'
  • Other stars in the film include Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, and Chris Redd. The script is written by Kelly Younger and is said to be inspired by his own holiday experiences on Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo, California.
  • Along with the holiday excitement and comedic chaos, the movie also includes elements of humor, race against time, and a magical adventure as Chris and his family try to overturn the elf's intentions of turning him into a figurine.
