Eddie Murphy to Portray Funk Legend George Clinton in New Biopic

Murphy, 63, is set to star as George Clinton, the influential funk musician, in a new biographical film.
The film will be directed by Bill Condon, who previously worked with Murphy on the 2006 musical 'Dreamgirls.'
George Clinton, now 83, is celebrated for his work with bands Parliament and Funkadelic, and for hits like 'Flash Light' and 'Atomic Dog.'
Clinton and his band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.
Murphy recently returned to his iconic role as Axel Foley in 'Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,' marking a major comeback for the comedian.
