- Eddie Murphy announced on July 28 during a Today show interview that he will star as Inspector Jacques Clouseau in the upcoming Pink Panther reboot.
- Amazon MGM Studios has placed the film in early development with Jeff Fowler directing and producers Dan Lin, Julie Andrews, Larry Mirisch and Jonathan Eirich attached.
