Overview

  • The “Cosmic Carpark Paintings” exhibition opens July 11 at London’s Heni Gallery, offering original canvases and limited edition prints for sale through August 1.
  • Fifty percent of net proceeds from original artwork and £300 from each print purchase will be donated to the Ed Sheeran Foundation’s music education initiatives.
  • Sheeran created the celestial-inspired, Jackson Pollock–style abstracts in a disused Soho car park during downtime on his Mathematics Tour.
  • Friends Damien Hirst and Joe Hage encouraged the singer to transform his private splash-painting practice into a public exhibition to raise charitable funds.
  • The Ed Sheeran Foundation channels the funds to grants for grassroots music projects, school programs and instrument provision throughout the UK.
