• Investigators are examining fund flows into businesses linked to Sujit Bose and his son between 2016 and 2020 after recovering what officials described as incriminating documents.
• The probe follows a CBI FIR registered on a Calcutta High Court directive, with the CBI preparing a new charge sheet after alleging pay-for-jobs across several municipalities at about Rs 50,000 per hire.
• ED teams also conducted searches the same day in a separate case involving an alleged Rs 1,200 crore bank loan fraud by a jewellery company, as Bose rejected the actions as politically motivated.
