ED Seizes 10 Luxury Cars, Superbikes in Bhubaneswar Raids Tied to ₹1,396-Crore ITCOL Loan-Fraud Probe

Investigators say diverted ITCOL loans were pushed into Odisha accounts to be shown as legitimate mining income.

Overview

  • Searches on August 30–31 targeted the residence of Shakti Ranjan Dash and the offices of Anmol Mines and Anmol Resources in Bhubaneswar.
  • Officials confiscated 10 cars and 3 superbikes worth about ₹7 crore, plus jewellery valued at roughly ₹1.12 crore and ₹13 lakh in cash.
  • Two bank lockers linked to Dash were frozen as records, devices, and property documents were collected for forensic examination.
  • The ED alleges about ₹59.80 crore from ITCOL was routed to Anmol Mines, with Dash assisting promoter Rakesh Kumar Sharma in integrating the funds into mining operations.
  • Earlier actions in the case include asset attachments of around ₹310 crore, with about ₹289 crore restituted to the lending banks in April 2025.
