ED Seizes 10 Luxury Cars in Odisha Raids Linked to ₹1,396-Crore ITCOL Case

Investigators are tracing about ₹59.8 crore they say flowed to Anmol Mines through alleged diversion of bank loans.

  • Searches on August 30 in Bhubaneswar targeted the residence of Shakti Ranjan Dash and the offices of Anmol Mines Pvt Ltd and Anmol Resources Pvt Ltd under the PMLA.
  • Officials seized 10 luxury vehicles and three superbikes worth over ₹7 crore, along with jewellery valued at about ₹1.12 crore and ₹13 lakh in cash.
  • Two bank lockers in Dash’s name were frozen and investigators collected documents related to immovable properties.
  • The ED alleges ITCOL obtained about ₹1,396 crore in loans from a Bank of India–led consortium between 2009 and 2013 using forged project reports and fake sales, then siphoned the funds.
  • About ₹59.80 crore was allegedly routed to AMPL and the agency says Dash aided ITCOL promoter Rakesh Kumar Sharma in using the money in Odisha mining, with the investigation ongoing.
