ED Seizes 10 Luxury Cars in Bhubaneswar Raids Tied to ₹1,396-Crore ITCOL Fraud

Investigators say ₹59.8 crore reached Anmol Mines, with MD Shakti Ranjan Dash accused of assisting ITCOL promoter Rakesh Kumar Sharma.

Overview

  • The Enforcement Directorate conducted August 30 searches under the PMLA at the residence of Shakti Ranjan Dash and the premises of Anmol Mines and Anmol Resources in Bhubaneswar.
  • Officials seized 10 luxury cars and three superbikes, including a Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X7, Audi A3 and a Honda Gold Wing, valued at over ₹7 crore.
  • The agency also recovered jewellery worth ₹1.12 crore, ₹13 lakh in cash, incriminating documents, and froze two bank lockers linked to Dash.
  • The case stems from allegations that ITCOL fraudulently secured about ₹1,396 crore in loans between 2009 and 2013 using forged project reports and fake sales to shell companies.
  • Earlier actions in the probe include asset attachments totaling ₹310 crore, with properties worth ₹289 crore restituted to the lending consortium in April 2025, and the investigation remains ongoing.
