ED Raids Uncover Massive Concert Ticket Fraud in Five Cities

The Enforcement Directorate investigates illegal ticket sales for Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh concerts, seizing evidence across multiple states.

Raids were conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Bangalore by the Enforcement Directorate in response to illegal ticket sales for Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh concerts.
The investigation was launched following multiple FIRs and complaints about fraudulent ticket sales and exorbitant resale prices.
Official ticketing partners BookMyShow and Zomato Live reported rapid sellouts, which led to black-market activities and fake ticket scams.
Incriminating materials, including mobile phones, laptops, and SIM cards, were seized during the raids, revealing the use of social media platforms to sell fake tickets.
The ED is probing the financial networks behind these scams under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), aiming to trace the proceeds of crime.
