Overview

  • On June 27 the Enforcement Directorate searched 13 Raheja Developers locations across Delhi-NCR and Mohali under the PMLA, seizing documents and digital devices tied to a money laundering investigation
  • Delhi’s Economic Offences Wing had filed multiple FIRs accusing Raheja’s leadership of collecting investor and homebuyer funds without delivering promised residential flats
  • Separately, the ED provisionally attached immovable properties worth ₹28.36 crore linked to Sunstar Overseas in a more than ₹950 crore bank fraud case involving a consortium led by Karur Vysya Bank
  • Last month the Central Bureau of Investigation lodged an FIR against Supertech Limited and its directors, citing cheating, forgery, and misappropriation that caused a ₹126 crore loss to IDBI Bank
  • These coordinated actions by the ED and CBI mark the latest phase of a sector-wide clampdown on illicit fund flows and fraudulent practices in India’s property market
