ED Files PMLA Chargesheet Over Wildlife Videos, Names Elvish Yadav, Rahul ‘Fazilpuria’ and Sky Digital

The agency says monetised depictions of protected snakes and an iguana constitute proceeds of crime.

Overview

  • The prosecution complaint was filed on October 13 in the special PMLA court in Gurugram, which has not yet taken cognisance.
  • Investigators allege the accused generated revenue by using live protected species in a 2023 vlog and in the music video “32 Bore.”
  • The complaint attributes Rs 84,000 in revenue to Elvish Yadav’s vlog and cites frame-by-frame evidence showing snakes and an iguana at multiple timestamps.
  • ED says Sky Digital handled distribution and monetisation, retained about Rs 1.24 lakh in lifetime revenue, and paid Fazilpuria a Rs 50 lakh advance, with its director Gurkaran Singh Dhaliwal named.
  • The probe drew on FIRs from Noida and Gurugram/Badshahpur police, included ED questioning of both men, and followed earlier provisional attachment of assets worth Rs 52.49 lakh including Bijnor land and bank balances.
