ED Files PMLA Chargesheet Against Elvish Yadav, Fazilpuria Over Monetised Wildlife Videos

A Gurugram court will now decide on taking cognisance of the complaint.

Overview

  • The Enforcement Directorate submitted the prosecution complaint on October 13, naming YouTuber Siddharth “Elvish” Yadav, singer Rahul “Fazilpuria” Yadav, Sky Digital India Pvt. Ltd., and its director Gurkaran Singh Dhaliwal.
  • The agency alleges revenue from videos featuring protected snakes and an iguana constitutes proceeds of crime under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
  • Investigators identified specific sums: about Rs 84,000 from an Elvish vlog, over Rs 50 lakh linked to Fazilpuria including an advance, and roughly Rs 1.24 lakh retained by Sky Digital.
  • Provisional attachments include agricultural land valued at around Rs 50 lakh tied to Fazilpuria and fixed deposits corresponding to the amounts attributed to Elvish Yadav and Sky Digital.
  • The ED case follows FIRs by Noida and Gurugram police that cited alleged use of protected wildlife in Fazilpuria’s “32 BORE” and an Elvish vlog, with both creators questioned at the agency’s Lucknow office.
