ED Attaches Over ₹1,270 Crore in Gurugram Real-Estate and Auto Loan Diversion Probes

This order expands the ED’s PMLA crackdown into alleged homebuyer fraud in Gurugram property alongside its long-running Amtek Auto loan diversion investigation

Overview

  • The ED’s Gurugram Zonal Office has provisionally attached ₹681.54 crore of immovable assets held by Ramprastha Promoters after finding that the developer collected around ₹1,100 crore from more than 2,000 homebuyers but failed to deliver promised projects.
  • Attached Ramprastha properties span 226 acres across plotted colonies in Sectors 37D, 92 and 95 and 1,700 acres of land parcels in Basai, Gadoli Kalan, Hayatpur and Wazipur villages in Gurugram.
  • In a parallel action, movable and immovable assets worth ₹588.57 crore linked to Amtek Auto Limited and its affiliates were seized, including 28 acres near Yamuna Nagar, 67.5 acres in Panchkula, fixed deposits and equity shares.
  • The latest Amtek Auto attachment brings total provisional seizures in the bank loan diversion probe under the PMLA to ₹6,261.37 crore following earlier orders in September 2024 and March 2025.
  • Investigations were triggered by multiple FIRs from the Economic Offences Wing in Delhi and Haryana and Supreme Court directives, with adjudication and prosecutions proceeding in special PMLA courts.
