Overview
- The November 6 order provisionally attaches eight immovable assets that investigators say were beneficially owned and controlled by the banned outfit.
- The attached properties include holdings of Green Valley Foundation, Alappuzha Social Cultural and Education Trust, Pandalam Educational and Cultural Trust, Islamic Centre Trust, Haritham Foundation, Periyar Valley Charitable Trust, Valluvanad Trust, and an SDPI land parcel in Thiruvananthapuram.
- ED alleges PFI and SDPI raised funds domestically and from Gulf countries via banking channels, hawala and donations to finance unlawful activities, with proceeds of crime quantified at Rs 131 crore.
- Seized records cited by ED describe “Physical Education” sessions and sheds at locations such as Valluvanad House, Pattambi, and Malabar House (Haritam Foundation), said to involve offensive and defensive manoeuvres.
- According to ED, nine earlier provisional attachment orders worth Rs 61.98 crore have been confirmed by the PMLA Adjudicating Authority, 28 people have been arrested with prosecution complaints filed, and the latest attachments remain subject to adjudication.
