ED Alleges K Kavitha Paid Rs 100 Crore to AAP Leaders in Excise Policy Case

K Kavitha, arrested last week, is accused of conspiring with AAP leaders for policy favours, claims the Enforcement Directorate.

  • The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has alleged that BRS leader K Kavitha conspired with AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, to receive favours in the Delhi excise policy by paying Rs 100 crore.
  • K Kavitha was arrested by the ED last week and is in custody till March 23, with the agency claiming she is a key conspirator in the Delhi excise policy scam.
  • AAP has denied the allegations, accusing the ED of being a political wing of the BJP and stating that no evidence has been found despite extensive investigations.
  • The Delhi excise policy, which allegedly allowed cartelisation and favoured certain dealers, was scrapped following recommendations for a CBI probe into its irregularities.
  • The ED and CBI have conducted numerous raids and made several arrests, including former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia, in connection with the case.
