Economy Ministry Extends and Expands Buenos Aires Farm Emergency Through Feb. 28, 2026

The move unlocks relief under Law 26.509 for certified producers in newly added Buenos Aires districts.

Overview

  • Resolution 1974/2025, published in the Official Gazette, applies retroactively from Sept. 1, 2025 to Feb. 28, 2026 and sets that date as the end of the affected production cycle for eligibility.
  • The measure covers agricultural operations in the partidos of 25 de Mayo, Saladillo, Bragado, Lincoln, General Belgrano, Azul, Pila and Bolívar.
  • Previously declared areas in 25 de Mayo and Saladillo are renewed, while additional circunscripciones are incorporated across Bragado, Lincoln, General Belgrano, Azul, Pila and Bolívar.
  • Producers gain access to tax deferrals or exemptions, suspension of fiscal lawsuits and embargos, and bank credit refinancing and assistance, with public and mixed banks and ARCA instructed to facilitate access.
  • Entry to the regime requires a provincial certificate and the province must submit beneficiary lists to the National Commission; the resolution was signed by Economy Minister Luis Caputo and empowers the Agriculture Secretariat to implement.
