Overview
- Nearly 100 international delegates from more than 70 countries, along with representatives of international organisations and foreign missions, are slated to participate at Bharat Mandapam.
- Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, joined by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, will receive delegates and open the proceedings on January 21.
- The programme includes an EMB Leaders' Plenary, EMB Working Group meetings and thematic sessions on global electoral challenges, standards and best practices.
- Thirty-six thematic groups led by state and UT Chief Electoral Officers will conduct in-depth deliberations with participation from four IITs, six IIMs, 12 National Law Universities and IIMC.
- ECI plans over 40 bilateral meetings with peer bodies, along with an exhibition on India’s election operations and a Day 1 screening of the 'India Decides' docuseries.
