- Bihar will vote in two phases across 121 and 122 constituencies, and the Model Code of Conduct is in force as the Election Commission details 7.42–7.43 crore electors, roughly 14 lakh first-time voters and about 90,700 polling stations with 17 new initiatives.

- Prashant Kishor confirmed he will make his electoral debut and said Jan Suraaj will publish its candidate list on October 9, positioning the party to target voters outside the NDA and INDIA blocs.
- The Aam Aadmi Party said it will contest all 243 seats, released an initial list of 11 candidates and ruled out alliances, adding another statewide player to the field.
