ECI Launches Two-Day Training for 379 Booth-Level Officers and Supervisors

- Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar inaugurated the capacity-building programme at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management in New Delhi on June 23.
- The cohort comprises 379 participants drawn from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Chandigarh.
- Instructional modules include voter registration and form handling, field implementation of electoral procedures, IT tools, and practical EVM and VVPAT demonstrations with mock polls.
- In the past three months, the Election Commission of India has trained over 5,000 booth-level officers and supervisors to bolster preparedness for upcoming elections.
- The initiative underscores strict adherence to the Representation of the People Act and related regulations to ensure transparent and legally sound polling.
